We are located where the arrow is pointing on the map. Scroll down for complete directions.

You can also click on the map for an interactive map of Budapest.

The RED arrow is our street, Akácfa utca, District VII Budapest.

Budapest Airports: There are two airports: Ferihegy Two (International and major airlines) and Ferihegy One (All budget airlines). How to reach us from the Ferihegy Two airport (the new airport). If you fly into the old airport, Ferihegy One, the directions are almost identical, but note that the train is from Ferihegy One only at this time.

We do not recommend the currency exchange at the airport. The rates are poor and there is a commission. We suggest you use the bank machine to withdraw what you need. In the city, there are many currency exchange places with much better rates and bank machines are everywhere.

Airport Train - It took over one year, but it is here now. Passengers can reach Ferihegy Terminal 1 from Nyugati Station in Budapest. On weekdays 51 trains (weekends, 38 trains) ease the traveling from the city center to the airport within less than half an hour for 300 Huf. There are 60 trains on weekdays and 45 at weekends from the airport to the city center. Directions from the train station to our place are below, so scroll down. There is no station to speak of at the airport, so stay alert or you may miss the stop. Be sure to buy a ticket at the station or at the airport (Ask TourInform).

From Ferihegy Two: Most major airlines

Airport Train: You can take the bus below to Ferihegy One and catch the train from there.

Airport shuttle: When you come through the sliding doors after Customs, there is a kiosk that states “Airport Shuttle”. It is immediately to your right. They will take you directly to our door. If they ask the district, it is the 7th. The cost is 2,490 Huf one way about $16.30 US or 4,390 Huf about $28.50 US for a round trip ticket. After you purchase your ticket, they will have you wait for the shuttle to be filled and then they will call out the street name. You need to listen for Akácfa (“Ah-cots-fuh”) to be called out. If you are uncertain, ask them. They are used to it. Remember the address is Akácfa u. 18 fourth floor, apartment 24. The doorbell has ACES-Hungary on it.

Taxi: Note that the airport has worked hard at licensing 'authorized' taxis with set rates. The current contract is with Zona Taxi. If you want to use a different company, you must call them to arrange it. Every legal taxi must provide a paper receipt throughout the city, not just at the airport.

Budapest Public transportation: Ticket prices are subject to change, usually in January and July:

This is for the adventurous and the budget minded. It will take about one hour.

Do not forget to validate your ticket for each leg of your journey in the red or orange validation boxes: one for the bus, one for the blue metro line and then one for the red line. Do not validate your tickets all at one time, but each time you change lines.

From Ferihegy One Airport: All budget airlines land here such as GermanWings, Wizz, easyJet, and so on.

This airport has been remodeled and reopened in September, 2005.

Airport Train: See above.

Airport shuttle: When you come through the sliding doors after finishing with Customs, you will come into the main lobby of the airport. To your right is another lobby. If you walk into that lobby and toward the front doors, you will see the kiosk that states “Airport Shuttle”. It is immediately to your left. You need to listen for Akácfa to be called out. If you are uncertain, ask them. They are used to it. Remember the address is Akácfa u. 18 fourth floor, apartment 24. The doorbell has ACES-Hungary on it.

Budapest Public Transportation: This is for the adventurous and the budget minded.

Purchase three tickets for 270 Huf each or a book of 10 tickets for 2,350 Huf at the newspaper kiosk in the terminal. Exit the airport and to the left there is a bus stop. There are two buses that stop here. The faster one is bus number 200.  Follow the directions above for the rest of the trip.
